Unofficial OPAM Finishes

So, part of the rules for OPAM 2010 is that BOMs have to be completely finished: pieced, quilted bound, in order to count. However, this BOM has been one that I've been working on for a while, and I feel like it at least deserves some showing off. :) I love the little lamb holding the "4th" sign for July!
My second unofficial OPAM finish is Mike's denim rag quilt. Yes, I technically finished it in December, but it hasn't been washed until today, so technically it wasn't completely finished, right?

That's what I thought! It ragged up so nicely. I went up to the laundromat to wash it, and boy am I glad I didn't use my own machine! Cleaning out that washer was TOUGH! There were bits of denim and flannel all over the inside of the washer. It took probably 10 minutes to get all of it out.
Anyway, so now that it's officially finished, it's an unofficial OPAM finish! :)

That block is the cutest thing!

I would love to have a denim rag quilt for picnics--but I gave away all my old jeans a couple of years ago. Oh well, it would have been one of those things on my "to-do" list forever, anyway. But what a nice weight it must have!

Did you cut fringe around the blocks? I hate that part! But maybe denim would just fray without doing that?
