This is what happens.....
......when you drink too much water right before nap time, then fall asleep, and wet out of your diaper and then wake up really grumpy. Of course, mommy has to take all your clothes off and throw them in the dryer. This means that on a cold and rainy day you have to walk around in just your diaper.
Luckily mommy brought 2 blankies to work that day.

Quilting updates
I've updated my quilting blog (finally!) There have been so many cute quilts coming my way lately!
My favorite is the Monster Truck playmat.
But the Clementine quilt is adorable. If I had a little girl, I would make it for her (along with everything that Izzy n Ivy have designed).
Also, check out this cute table topper my MIL made.
These are just a few of my favorites. Please check out my quilting blog here, and comments are always kindly appreciated. :)

Potty Training
I've come to the sad realization that I'm going to have to start potty training soon. YIKES!!!
Marshy is doing pretty good when it comes to telling us if he is wet or stinky. Mostly stinky. He starts to walk funny and he misbehaves to get attention. He has also stayed dry longer than he has in the past. Some nights he makes it most of the night before wetting the diaper.
I'm wondering what the difference is between the stand alone potty chair and a potty seat that snaps onto the existing toilet seat? I mean, other than the fact that you have to clean out the potty chair, which is kind of gross.
Also, any tips or tricks are greatly appreciated.
We're going on vacation at the end of this month, and the end of next month, and sometime in August. I will NOT be doing it during vacation. I am not that crazy. I'll probably start around September, which is when he turns 3. (3 is a good age, right?)

Pleased to Present:
Okay, so I have been working on these for a few weeks now, about a month actually, and am proud to present my Banners of the Month!
I've been desiging, in my "free" time, wallhangings for each month of the year. I only really have 1 finished, but I've been working on several at once.
The first one I have mostly finished, except for the last half of the binding, is July's.
HERE IT IS:
I used a variegated red/white/blue thread for the white border around the flag in the center. I freehanded flags and loops. In the blue stars behind the "JULY" I quilted stars and loops in a navy blue. I also used the longarm to finish the applique edges of "JULY".
I used a navy blue and echo quilted around the star. I used navy blue on my domestic machine, along with a decorative stitch, to applique the edges of the white star. Around the flag I did a squiggle outline.

I know it's just a wallhanging, but I couldn't resist putting this super-cute fabric on the back. The color looks more orange in the picture because of the lighting in my living room, but I promise it's really red.
I just finished piecing together August's wallhanging. YAY! I don't have the letters appliqued to the bottom strip of yellow because I don't have a printer at home to print the letters out with. Anyway, I am hoping to get it finished tomorrow. Since it is just a wallhanging, I'll probably just back it with some muslin and then use the leftover hot pink to bind it with.
I'm currently working on January's as well. I have most of it pieced and can't wait to unveil it!!!
Patterns will be available for sale soon, most likely on etsy. I have to finish drawing up some things for them, but have most of January's and July's patterns written. I am so excited!!
So, anyway, just wanted to introduce my lovelies to you all.

Yes, I am a Pirate!
We've been on a bit of a pirate kick around here lately. Here are some great pirate songs for your viewing pleasure.
If you would like to see the hilarity leading up to this (along with the actual footage), go here and view it. The poster had disabled embedding. :( I really do recommend viewing it, because it is hysterical!! :)
This one is Mike's favorite. He LOVES Muppet Treasure Island.
This was one of our favorites! My aunt and uncle sent everyone a Veggie Tales sing-a-long tape for Christmas many many years ago, and we LOVED this one. (We also love Barbara Manatee, but we'll save that for another day.) :D

I like him better as Cedric
Okay, so I know I will probably get in some trouble for saying this, but I like Robert P. (Edward) better as Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter movies. Maybe it's because he isn't being a Brit playing an American, but is actually a Brit playing a Brit. At any rate, that's my 2 cents.

CAUTION: This post is rated PG-13 due to possible brief language due to UTTER STUPIDITY OF PUBLIC SERVICE WORKERS
I'm sure you can guess from the title how court went today.
I got to the court room at 5:30. My case was scheduled for 6:00 PM.
I was nervous. I was shaking. At 6 they were still calling the 5:45 cases.
At 6:15 they were calling the 6:00 cases. She still wasn't there. I was excited!! I had this thing in the bag! :)
Then Mr. Judge asked if there was anyone who wasn't called but believed their case was supposed to be at 6 PM. I was the only one.
I was instructed to talk to the clerk.
She told me that there was no proof of service, and that I had to call the process server.
I called the process server. He wasn't in the office so couldn't help me and I have to call tomorrow to figure it out.
Then I have to call the clerk back and let her know what's going on and try to reschedule.
Chances are I will probably have to refile or something. This is RETARDED!
STUPID PEOPLE CAN'T EVEN DO THEIR JOBS! WHAT THE H**L AM I PAYING THEM FOR ANYWAYS? TO SIT AROUND ON THEIR BUTTS AND DO NOTHING?!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
Okay. I'm back. I'll just deal and move on.
Quilting Catch-up, Keeping Busy, & Monthly Challenge Progress.
I have been keeping busy lately. Besides quilting (I just updated my work blog. Please go check it out! There are some really cute quilts clients have made!), I have been sewing at home (FINALLY!) I'm working on making/designing wallhangings, 1 for each month of the year. They are really cute so far!! I can't wait to post pictures of what I have done so far.
I also bought this really cute new pair of shoes. Well, Mike's money bought them I guess, so I guess that means he bought them for me?
I also sewed the button on April's block for the Tisket a Tasket BOM.

Also finished January's block......
Also finished January's block......
And February's block.
Also, last Thursday we had sewing night, and I accomplished quite a lot. Remember the Cars quilt I made forever ago for Marshy? Well I finally seamed the backing for it! YAY! Now I can quilt it!! I also quilted this Christmas wallhanging..... on my domestic machine.
Yes, that's right!
I, the longarm-er, can quilt on a domestic. Boy was it tough though! It is a totally different feeling. On the Gammill you move your arms and the machine. On the domestic (my lovely green Singer HD-110) it is totally different: You move the fabric. Doing a squiggle was the hardest part. On the longarm I would move front to back. On the domestic it is a side to side motion.
Also, I attached the binding to the Christmas wallhanging. And, remember this quilt from last summer?? Well I quilted it last year and it's been sitting around for a while waiting for binding. My cousin had a baby girl a week or so ago and it's been the perfect excuse I've needed for finishing this quilt. It is pink and purple, perfect for a little girl! I made and attached the binding to the quilt on Thursday, so now I'm hoping to be able to hurry and get it all the way bound so that I can get it up to my cousin and her precious new baby girl.
I'm hoping that we'll have another sewing night this week so I can get even more stuff done! I have a couple of bags I'd like to finish, and of course my wallhangings I've been designing.
I feel like I got a head start on this month's challenge pieces. I usually put off working on my own projects until the month is over, and then I feel like I have nothing to show for it. This month I thought I'd get a jump on things and show some progress early on. Yay for me!

Totally Bummed
I went to pop a bag of popcorn tonight. I was so craving popcorn. I put the bag in the microwave, put in the time, and pressed start. Nothing happened. The timer counted down, but no noise came on. I cancelled out, unplugged the microwave, and tried it again. Yep, no noise. My microwave is broken. I am so sad!!! Now I have to buy a new one. I'm looking at cheap models, under $75, because I just need something to get me by until we build our house.
Grr.. I really wanted my popcorn! It's sitting there on the counter, taunting me. It's saying "Ha ha! You wanted to eat me but now you can't because your microwave is broken!! he he he" Rude, stupid microwave.

Court
Going to court on Tuesday. Any tips? I'm really nervous. I'm hoping she doesn't show up. In case you're wondering why, you can read it here. I won't bore you all with the details until after court. I am going to buy a new outfit though, so that I look really professional.

Yeah Baby!
I am having a hard time containing my excitement. StephenieMeyer.com just posted the trailer for New Moon. It looks so good. I cannot wait. There is even a moment in the trailer where you are thinking "Oh please show it. Please show him change. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!" What a teaser! I can't wait for November now.

Okay, snapping out of silly girlish shrieking fit. I'll be back to myself in a minute.
